2010 Learn about clay making and old kilns under potter, Yusaku Sakamoto.

2011 Studied ceramics under Sorei Okamoto.

2018 Newly established a workshop in Aichi-cho, Karatsu City.

An up-and-coming young artist who has a famous potter, Sakurei Okamoto as his father.

After graduating from an art school, he worked for a clothing design company. While using the traditional techniques of Karatsu-yaki, his experience in the design company has been utilized to create a product that is different from the simple impression of Karatsu-yaki that we have seen in the past.

He digs clay from the mountains, make clay, mix glaze, mold, and fire... He does everything by himself.

We were taken along digging for clay, which is such a tough task. That is why we want you to pick it up and use it with love and enjoy the changes it undergoes.

Shuichi's works are delicate and gentle, and his Rinka plates, in particular, are gorgeous as if flowers had bloomed on the table, yet they harmonize with dishes and other vessels as if they were gently nestled together.

The use of these plates gives a sense of relief and peace of mind.
