Bunsho Kiln/Kojiro Baba
Bunshogama is a kiln located on a hill overlooking Imari Port in Saga Prefecture.
Kojiro Baba, the third generation of Bunsho Kiln, was captivated by a piece of ancient Imari he saw in a museum, and struggled with traditional methods to pass on ancient porcelain to the present day. He is conducting the search by himself.
Don't make it look pretty, just the way you want it to be.
These vessels are made with the presence of dripping glaze and black spots that form during firing.
The individuality of each of the stone materials is brought out one by one through a dialogue with the hands.
