Kazuhiko Kudo

1970 Born in Kanagawa Prefecture

1986 Fascinated by ceramics, visited various pottery production areas and many ceramic artists

1988 Studied under Shigaraki ceramic artists, Kiyoko Kamiyama and Kenichi Kamiyama

1991 Became interested in outsider art made at welfare facilities and became a pottery instructor at a welfare facility

1996 Became independent as a private artist

2015 Built a kiln and began wood-fired kiln firing

The clay used to make his works is deposited by yellow sand that flew across the Sea of Japan from the continent about 45,000 years ago.

This clay has been scientifically dated to be 200 million years old.

He creates his works using clay with a long history.
