Kazuhiko Kudo

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1970
1986: Fascinated by pottery, travels to various pottery production areas and visits many pottery artists.
1988 Studied under Shigaraki ware artists Kiyoko Kamiyama and Kenichi Kamiyama
1991: Became interested in outsider art created at welfare facilities and became a professional pottery instructor at a welfare facility.
1996 Became independent as a solo artist
2015: Built a climbing kiln and started firing in a wood-fired kiln.

He creates pottery using clay made up of yellow sand that came from the continent over the Sea of ​​Japan about 45,000 years ago.
This clay was scientifically dated to be 200 million years old.
I make pottery using clay that feels like the breath of the earth.
