Masayuki Miyata
Born in Kyoto in 1979
2001 Completed ceramic molding course at Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics College
2004 Completed ceramics course at Kyoto Municipal Industrial Research Institute Started making pottery at Gojozaka in April
Works mainly on Momoyama ceramics such as Oribe, Kiseto, and Shino.
Momoyama pottery was made in Mino and Seto, but it is assumed that the people who ordered it were tea masters and powerful people in Kyoto, which was the capital at the time.
In Kyoto, we continue to inherit the feelings of our predecessors and create pottery.
